Mist Collection

Mist Collectors capture mist, smoke, fumes, and particulate generated during machining process.   Mist Collectors can be mounted directly on machining centers or ducted to a central system.  Collecting your coolant and machining oil can save you in maintenance and machining cost. 

Typical applications can include Vertical Machining Centers, Parts Washers, Screw Machines, OD Grinders, Swiss Lathes, Horizontal Machining Centers, High Speed Grinders and Machine Tools with Mist and Smoke Problems.

Electrostatic Mist Collectors were developed to capture the mist and smoke from the metal working industry. Special circuitry design insures that the Mist Collectors is highly efficient on all metal working fluids under high or low pressure. The Tri-Mist can be direct mounted, or ducted using optional plenum and flex duct.

Vertical Mist or Smoke Collectors are a low profile air cleaning system designed for above-ceiling installations or as a portable unit to control smoke, particulate and odors. Features include in-room filter access, variety of filter options, low noise levels and high airflow.  In the last several years much more efficient filters have been constructed using micro-glass fibers. These improved filters are able to separate sub-micron particles from the air passing through the unit and hold them in high quantities.

Four inch pleated pre-filters catch the larger particles and extend the bag filters life. A wide range of different filters are available for different applications. Filter efficiencies are rated by ASHRE standards 52-76.

Oil Mist Recyclers the idea for the Mist Recycler is simple: Capture most of the mist near the pick-up point and return it to the machine.  The Mist Recycler houses a removable, industry-standard impingement baffle. This baffle acts as a system prefilter and mechanically extracts droplets and mist from the air stream.

Liquid collected in the Mist Recycler drains into a sump and is returned to the machine via a drain port. The Mist Recycler  comes standard with two drain taps so that it can be mounted either horizontally or vertically. The baffle and canister-shaped design cause only a minimal pressure drop across the Mist Recycler.
