Case Studies
Case Study: University Makerspace
Goal
Provide a clean, flexible, and collaborative workspace for making, learning, exploring, and sharing.
Challenges
The university needed a system that was easy to install and would maintain and support a high volume of traffic. The environment for installation and usage was a historic building that had undergone continuous reconfiguration.
Solution
The solution was a combination of seven Industrial Maid T-3000 units, 1 M36x2 dust collector, 1 EB56 filter wall, 1 PFC8 fume extractor, 1 DFC8 dust collector, and a Nederman S-1000 dust system.
Case Study: West Coast Cosmetic Manufacturer
Goal
OSHA inspected the company’s plant and told the company it needed to install a dust collection system to remove fugitive dust from the plants compounding and filling rooms.
Challenges
The dust was being generated in two rooms from two different processes then settling on equipment, tabletops, floors, and walls and the dust was composed of hygroscopic characteristics that have moisture properties, therefore clogging most filter collecting bags and filters.
Solutions
Installed one central dust collector with oleophobic bags outside the plant and multiple ducts run to connect the baghouse to dust collection hoods inside the compounding and filling rooms.
